Your Body Has Trillions of Opinions

Your Body Has Trillions of Opinions

Have you ever had a day when your skin feels dry, your patience is thin, and you can’t quite work out why you feel unlike yourself?

You might reach for a richer moisturiser. You might realise you skipped lunch. Or you might remember that sleep has been hard to come by lately. Sometimes several things are happening at once.

Your skin is part of that bigger picture. It contains nerves and immune cells, and it responds to both its surroundings and changes within the body. Researchers have found links between psychological stress and skin barrier function. That doesn’t mean stress is behind every skin concern, but it does remind us that the skin doesn’t exist in isolation.

Our needs change, too. A routine that felt right a few years ago may feel different now. Skin can ask for more comfort. Energy can shift. The way we respond to a busy week can change.

I like to imagine the body’s trillions of cells all offering their opinions at once.

The skin says, “Could we have a little moisture?”

The nervous system says, “Could we slow down?”

The rest of you says, “After I finish everything on my list.”

At Elevanna Wellness, I’m interested in all of it: the ritual of caring for your skin, the nourishment that helps you feel well, and the changing needs that deserve our attention rather than our frustration.

That might mean taking a moment to enjoy your skincare instead of rushing through it. It might mean noticing when you need food, rest or breathing room. Small acts of care won’t answer every question, but they give us a chance to pay attention.

Your body has trillions of opinions. You don’t have to understand every one of them. Getting curious about what you need today is a lovely place to start.

This made me pause. We’re quick to reach for another skincare product, but how often do we stop and ask what else we might need? A lovely reminder to pay attention to the whole picture. Loving the blogs :)
